Brown's Daily Word 4/5/15

Happy resurrection Day.  Christ is Risen.  He is Risen indeed.  I woke up around 3:00 AM this morning.  The moon was shining and beaming brightly.  I came down to the living room and gazed at the brilliant moon as it was beaming through the bay window.  It was all calm and tranquil outside.  The trees stood still.   The grass  was eagerly waiting  for the Risen Lord to walk on it again.  I stood by the window and, gazing at the moon, I saw my shadow and I knew the The Son Of Righteousness  was about to rise again from the grave.  The sky was cloudless . The moon was dominating the sky.  I went to bed again and woke up at 5:30 AM to get ready for the Sunrise service.  The Lord blessed our Easter worship celebrations and gatherings today.  The  worship services were triumphant and jubilant with singing of the Easter hymns and songs, along with pieces from Handel's Messiah - "I Know that My Redeemer Lives" and "The Hallelujah Chorus".   So many came for the Easter Celebrations.  It was a great day to be alive and a great day to be in the Lord's house with His people joining Christians around the corner and around the globe singing, "Christ  the Lord is Risen Today... hallelujah" and "Up from the Grave He Arose".  Both the Adult Choir and Youth presented special musical  selections.  I preached from John 20, which contains a running narrative of the first Easter Morning.  I said, "Was it a morning like this... What A morning!  Happy Easter to you all.  Christ is Risen.  He is Risen Indeed.

"But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices which they had prepared.  And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in they did not find the body. While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel; and as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise"  Luke 24:1-7

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.  This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. "1 Peter 1:3-5

  He is Risen.
